Classes

Pine Grove provides programs for children ages 2 through 5. Class sizes are kept well below the limits set by state regulations in order

to maintain an adult/child ratio which makes individual attention available at all times. All teachers at the school hold New Jersey State Certification, and all classes are run with a fully-certified teacher and at least one participating parent.

Classes meet from 9:00 am to 11:30 am on consecutive days:

• The 2s class meets on Thursday and Friday
• The 3s class meets Monday through Wednesday
• The 4s class meets Monday through Friday.

For parents of 2 and 3 year old children who would like a five day a week program, the school does offer mixed age classes. Please talk with the director about availability.

Pine Grove provides aftercare (“Splendid Day“) beginning at 11:30 am and ending at 3:30 pm. Please click here for more information on Splendid Day or here for Splendid Day rates.

A typical day at Pine Grove offers children: at least one hour of unstructured free play; group times when the class meets together for discussions, songs, and stories; snack time when children, teachers and parents sit down together to socialize; and outdoor time. Pine Grove considers outdoor time to be an important part of the day’s activities and, unless the weather is severe, children enjoy outdoor play, throughout the school year.
